Exhibits & News

February 5 – February 27, 2026. VISIONS by Rose Marie James. A vibrant exhibit of botanical oil paintings invites us to look forward to the arrival of spring. Rose’s works abstract the natural world using the elements of art: line, color, shape and repetition. Attention is given to negative space relationships, and the juxtaposition of colors, to arrive at fluid organic movements. Invention is often discovered through an accidental palette knife stroke or a surprise placement of unrelated color. Rose holds a master’s in art education and continues to teach for the New York Botanical Garden. More about Rose Marie James.
