Mon, Weds, Fri from 12 noon to 2 pm thru April 10. See the historic Putnam County Quilt in person for a limited time at Mahopac Public Library. Community Room, Third Floor. Featuring 50 hand-quilted images of Putnam County’s remarkable contributions to our nation. Named one of The Twentieth Century’s Best American Quilts. A Blue Ribbon Winner of The Quilter’s Newsletter 1976 Bicentennial competition. Designed by Putnam County artist Gladys Boalt and hand-quilted with nineteen local ladies in the 1970s to celebrate the 1976 U.S.A. Bicentennial. Presented by Mahopac Public Library and the Putnam Historian’s Office Limited visiting hours while the quilt is on display during the Revolutionary Putnam History Exhibit in the Third Floor Gallery. A representative will be on hand from the Putnam Historian’s office to provide insights about the events and images depicted on this historic quilt. More Info and Quilt Image
