Here’s what that means for you!

Beginning November 2nd, NO FINES…

on books, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, CDs, and video games that are owned by Mahopac Library and returned after the due date. Old overdue fines that currently exist on Mahopac/Mahopac Central School District patron accounts will be eliminated.

Some fees still apply

• Lost or damaged items: Mahopac Public Library will still charge for lost or damaged items, assessed at their current, full replacement costs.
• Fines on items from other libraries: Items borrowed from other Mid-Hudson system libraries, and interlibrary loan material, may incur fines.
• Late fines are still charged on museum passes, iPad minis, Kindle e-readers, WiFi hotspots, and audio visual equipment circulated by Mahopac Library
• Borrowing privileges will be suspended and outstanding materials billed to the patrons account for items retained more than 28 days past their due date.
