Register ButtonDr. Boesch will deliver the first of a series of lectures on “The Archaeology of Tragedy.”

New York’s most disastrous shipping incident did not take place in the Great Lakes or in offshore waters, but in a placid river within the City of New York, due to neglect of seaworthiness and slipshod crewmanship, “The General Slocum Disaster and the End of an Ethnic Community” will be presented by Dr. Eugene Boesch.

This presentation is graciously sponsored by The Town of Carmel Historical Society.

Registration is required.
