Letters to Dewey

Missing Dewey already?
Write him a letter!
The first Monday of the month, kids can come in to write a letter and mail it to Dewey!
Kids will be paired with a teen to help them write their letters.
Through this program, kids will:
- practice and hone their writing and spelling skills
- learn how to address and stamp a letter
- learn about the mail system
Kids will receive a letter back from Dewey during the next session!
Grades 2-4

Help kids practice their writing and spelling!
During this program, teens will pair up with a kids and help supervise and help kids write their letters to Dewey.
We are looking for teens who are interested in helping children.
This process will require teens to:
- Be attentive
- Be present
- Be patient
- Be engaged
Grades 9-12
The library’s policy on children states “children in fifth grade and under shall be accompanied in the building by a responsible adult who must remain with the children at all times.” In other words, children may not be left in the Youth Services area unattended while you attend this program.
