Get Ready to Read with Ms. Marisa!

Join us at the library for a fun and engaging phonics and reading-readiness program designed especially for rising first graders! Through games, stories, hands-on activities, and early reading practice, students will strengthen important skills such as letter sounds, blending, sight words, and reading confidence — all while having fun! This program is taught by a certified elementary school teacher.
Priority will be given to Mahopac Central School District residents who are entering first grade. All others will be placed on a wait list and admitted if space allows and at the discretion of library staff.
The library’s policy on children states “children in fifth grade and under shall be accompanied in the building by a responsible adult who must remain with the children at all times.” In other words, children may not be left in the Youth Services area unattended while you attend this program.
