Elder Law 101: Essential Basics for Seniors and Families
July 20th at 6pm
Community Room, Third Floor
This session provides a practical overview of key elder law planning tools. Participants will explore important advance directives—such as powers of attorney, health care proxies, and living wills—and how they help ensure that personal and financial wishes are carried out. The presentation will also cover fundamental estate planning topics, including wills, trusts, and strategies for minimizing or avoiding estate and gift taxes, along with a general introduction to Medicaid planning.
The library’s policy on children states “children in fifth grade and under shall be accompanied in the building by a responsible adult who must remain with the children at all times.” In other words, children may not be left in the Youth Services area unattended while you attend this program. Thank you for your cooperation.
