For families with children 10 years and younger
Garden View Room (Children’s area)
Hear the story of Ada’s Violin: The Story of The recycled Orchestra of Paraguay by Susan Hood in English with some Spanish interpretation. We will discuss our knowledge about instruments and music making. We will use 5 everyday disposable materials (coffee cans, plastic vegetable containers, etc.) to give them a new life as part of our very own Mahopac Library Jug Band. We will celebrate music as a form of storytelling together with sounds and movement, as we sing and dance to rhythms from South America and the Hudson Valley.
Registration is requested.
