Throw-Back Tech Basics

April 8th at 6:30pm

The library has the tools to help you convert old media (like VHS tapes and 8mm reels) into digital formats. Join us to learn more about these tools and how you can use them!  This class is a demonstration.  Materials will not be converted during the class.

The library’s policy on children states “children in fifth grade and under shall be accompanied in the building by a responsible adult who must remain with the children at all times.”  In other words, children may not be left in the Youth Services area unattended while you attend this program. Thank you for your cooperation.


Microsoft Word Series

Mondays at 6:30, starting April 20th

Proficiency in Microsoft Word is a high demand skill in the job market.  This series will take you from getting started to creating polished documents!

This class will meet on Mondays for three weeks:

  • 04/20 Week 1: Working With Text
  • 04/27 Week 2: Images and Objects
  • No class 05/04
  • 05/11 Week 3: Tables and Charts

This series is hybrid.  Please register to attend in-person or virtually.

You can bring your own laptop to class or use one of the Learning Lab laptops to practice.

AI : an introduction

Lately, AI seems to be everywhere and so many people are using it.  If you are curious about AI and how you might use it, this is the class for you.  We will be talking about generative AI, concerns about AI usage, and what to look for when considering AI tools.

This is a hybrid class. Please register to attend in-person or virtually.
