Computer Classes in February
Check out the library’s computer classes in February!
PowerPoint Series
Tuesdays at 2pm, starting February 3rd
Learning Lab, 2nd Floor
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint is a high demand skill in the job market. This series will take you from getting started to creating polished presentations!
This class meets on Tuesdays 2-3pm for four weeks:
- 02/03 Week 1 – slide basics, themes, transitions
- 02/10 Week 2 – pictures, shapes, arranging objects
- 02/17 Week 3 – animations, video content, tables, charts, SmartArt
- 02/24 Week 4 – slide master view, action buttons, recording your presentation
This is a hybrid class with an option to participate virtually or in-person.
If you are interesting in learning about PowerPoint, but are unable to attend all of the classes or have questions about the classes, please reach out to librarian Emily at 845-628-2009 ext 152 or ewierzbowski@mahopaclibrary.org.

Spotting Scams

In this workshop you’ll learn about three real-life online scams and familiarize yourself with some of the techniques scammers commonly use to access sensitive information.
Please register to attend in-person or virtually.

MPL at Home – Learn a New Skill

With your Mahopac Library card, you have access to many resources at home, including some that may help you tackle that New Year’s Resolution! Whether you want to learn how to knit or a new language, we have a resource for you.
